Am I supposed to peel carrots?

I saw a whole bag on sale for $ 1, but I guess it was not aware that you may need to buy a vegetable peeler at the same time. I went on a dip in the water that got rid of most soils. I also tried a peel with a Swiss Army knife, but it was not, worse with the big slice of cheese in a crater. I'm using in a sauce.

If the skin is smooth and clean, just wash or scrub. Most of the goodness is in skin anyway. I cut them with a kitchen knife for cooking.
