A lasting tradition of quality, value and performance, Buck has been the manufacturer of some of the finest KNIVES made in America today. For well over a century they have made knives so well it is understandable why they are proud to put their name on every knife they make. The times have changed, but the need for a reliable hunting knife continues to be the same. That is why Buck Knives continues to find ways to improve their hunting knives so that they will meet every hunters needs.
With all the challenges we face in our economy today, Buck Knives strives to earn the trust and confidence from their customers with each hunting knife they purchase. Whether it be a custom made hunting knife or one of their famous series knives, Buck knows they have the right hunting knife for you at the guaranteed lowest price.
Steel is the heart and soul of a knife. It is what Buck does with their steel that separates them from all their competitors. There are three basic criteria by which you can measure the quality of a blade. Edge retention which is how long the edge or sharpness of the blade will last, ductility and strength which means how much force your blade can withstand and finally corrosion resistance which is how well your blade can be protected from the elements of Mother Nature as well as yourself.
Buck’s process of the combination of raw elements they use determines the level of quality and desired Rockwell Hardness of their knives. Under the direct supervision of their in-house expert Paul Bos, he ensures that these qualities are met in every Buck Knife made. Buck takes each knife through a precisely controlled process, transforming raw steel into the perfect combination of hardness, toughness, ductility, edge retention and corrosion resistance.
Another important step that Buck takes with each blade they make is the grinding process. The grind is a gradual slope from the top of the blade to the cutting edge. Buck in their years of experience has found that the best grind for a sharper, stronger blade is the semi-hollow grind, which applies to all Buck knives.
Finally, the last test that Buck makes on every hunting knife as well as all their knives is their final process from testing the Rockwell hardness of their newly formed blades to the final test by their quality control team.
So, with all that said, that is why you should always, Trust A Buck, An American Tradition
