Knife Laws in MA?

I’m 20 yrs old… I’ve heard that in MA you can carry a knife around as long as its in a pouch or case and its visable… is this true? I work at a gas station that gets robbed occasioinally and I want to carry it for protection.. its a strait blade, its fairly large (6″) can I carry this around? (its not a switchbalde or anything just the blade on handle that doesnt fold or anything.) obviously i cant go to a school or church or anything I know that.

Are you crazy? They will probably utilize a gun. Give them the money and all the gas they want. Your life is worth a whole lot more. If you insist on this course of self protection, please be smart, get yourself a bullet proof vest and a gun that packs serious stopping power.
