All work, including the scissors. Multitool + for $ 26, and Gerber, can not complain about it. I recommend if the price is $ 30.

Beats Leatherman

I picked this Gerber up the other day and have been very impressed. I used to have the Leatherman Ultra tool and it was great for years but after losing it, I went to get another Leatherman and saw this Gerber for substantially less money. I gave it a shot have have been impressed. I am glad that Gerber has refreshed their design in the past years. I remember their old spring-loaded models back when I was in the Army in the 90s and they were always breaking or getting clogged with mud, etc. This is a nice design and for under $30, you can’t beat it.

A Butterfly to Love

This is a very well made multi-tool product. My only complaint about it is that the various blades are hard to fish out of the handle. It’s an impressive tool though and I am quite happy with it otherwise.

Great tool, comparable to Leatherman, one setback…

This is a great multi-tool for someone like me: on a tight budget. I didn’t want to spend the $60+ for a Leatherman, so I purchased this one and so far have been very happy with it. The finish is well done and has held up against the punishment I have dished out to it already working with it on a Dairy Farm and camping. The pliers are great great. The concealed spring is a huge plus as I don’t have to worry about something getting in there and messing it up. the tools came sharp, and the KNIVES have a thumb assist which make them easy to get to with one hand. 

The only major issue I have with this is the locking trigger for the tools. It’s very nice to have the tools locked in so they dont move, but the switch is so small you have to use your nails (if you have any) to push it down when you want to retract the tools. This is VERY difficult with rubber or leather gloves. Trust me, I’ve had the unfortunate luck of trying it. Besides that It’s a great thing to have around.

Well made tool

I’ve only had this multi-tool for a short while. It’s extremely well made(this is my first and only multi-tool,so I can’t compare it to other brands), the blades are sharp right out of the package, each tool locks into place, and the needle nose are spring loaded to help getting a bite onto something. If you are looking for a basic tool at a great price this is what you want.

Gerber Suspension Review

I bought the Gerber Suspension as a replacement for one that was confiscated when I was traveling through an airport (…my fault for not realizing it was in my back pack). In any case, the Suspension works just as the earlier one did and I think in many ways is more user friendly than a comparable Leatherman. 

The only thing I liked less about the new Suspension is that it did not come with the accessory tool kit (drive attachment and 10 bits), so I had to buy that separately. Also, the case is somewhat smaller, so the accessory tool kit has to be stored in a separate pouch. 

I would buy again, and the price was right from Amazon.

Works For Me

I like the quality of this tool. The workmanship is very good, it looks better in person than it did in the pictures. It opens smoothly into sturdy pliers that seem very functional. The blades are secure and they lock firmly in place, I think they will be safe to use to the point of abuse. I cut a board with the saw, it isn’t a cross-cut but it works better than I expected. It would be enough to cut poles for a shelter or small branches for a fire. The knifes were sharp, with a few strokes a ceramic sharpener they took a good edge. Even the case seems durably made, my only complaint is the belt loop is only large enough for a narrow belt, it measures about 1 3/4 inches.

Hard to beat bang for the buck.

Ive been carrying one for a little over a year now. For the money Ive never had something as handy to have around. My first day carrying it was the day I had just purchased a new (to me) car and had to remove a rusted to gone and back plate screw. In sheer headache avoided factor alone it paid for itself that day. 

Mine came with the bit set that has more times than I would have thought helped save the day. I have only two negatives for it and they really are minor compared to how much value you get out of having it with you. 

1. Getting some of the extra tools out can be a serious pain in the hind end. You find creative ways to use things laying at hand to pry out the ones that do not have the handy thumb tab the knives do. 

2. The needle nose pliers do not stand up to torquing very well. I tried to use them to twist some chain link and they just twisted and tweaked themselves out of true. Did not seem to hurt the tool at all and lesson learned I don’t try to use them for twisting anymore. 

What it comes down to, for me, is that Ive never had any tool on me as much as this one. Every time I think its come in handy in an unexpected way, I find a new use for it. The only thing Ive done is wrap a couple yards of high test spider wire around the bit set for random use.

Great replacement

At first I was dismayed that my wife got me this tool as a replacement for my Gerber Black Diesel multi-tool that TSA so generously removed from me. I had the Diesel long enough that I had the flick open down to a science and I didn’t see an easy way to do that with this tool. About 5 minutes of playing with it and I realized that it was much nicer to use. It is easier and quicker to get at the tools. I think it’s also safer to unlock the blades than the diesel was. I was constantly wondering how I hadn’t managed to cut something off closing that tool up. It grips better in my hand than the diesel. It is not uncomfortable to use as a primary screwdriver/knife/phillips as a typical multi-tool seems to be. You don’t have to open the tool to get at knife, and you can get it out much faster than the diesel’s blade. I really liked the diesel, but having had both I’d take this one in a minute.
