What would be classified as a concealed weapon? (Canada)?

I would like to carry a knife, it is not illegal, but if I have it as a concealed weapon would be illegal. I do not understand what can be classified as a concealed weapon. No disguised as something else. Just have a covering of oil that covers only the area sheet is then placed in my eather inside jacket pocket or in your pocket … Would that count as hiding? If someone would hide me approached would not see the knife, which has the handle stick out make it a weapon is not concealed? I have reasons why I should carry a knife … I would never use to assult someone. It's for self protection. There is no clear definition of a concealed weapon. It is something that is interpreted by the courts and jurisprudence. This site explains it very well, "What, exactly, is hiding is not entirely clear. There are some indications that, in order that there is a crime, the accused must have taken active steps to conceal the weapon to be unaware of other people. The courts have ruled in the past with respect to a similar text section that the crime requires that the weapon is concealed for an unlawful purpose, so it's a crime, ie, in addition to the weapons that were hidden, the court must be satisfied that the person who had intend to do something illegal with it. Keeping a sai in his backpack on the way to practice, therefore, probably would not be an offense under this section. However, unlike s. 88, the wording of section 90 does not include this exception, but simply read in court in the past. This interpretation therefore could change in the future. "It is in reference to carry weapons of martial arts, but apply to your situation too. You might want to give the whole page one read. http://ejmas.com/tin/2004tin/tinart_agnew_0104.html
