BEST KNIFE SET FOR COLLEGE UNDER 100 POUNDS?

I need a set of knifes (1st set) and im on a budget. The college offers a full set of KNIVES and kitchen stuff in a suitcase for 88 pounds, however im on the search for a better knife set for similar money.

I would not buy a set at all, I would buy individual knives and make up my own set. When you buy a set all too often some of the knives are good and some less good because the people who decide what knives go into a set are not usually chefs so they really don’t know what is best. If you are on a budget you can buy less knives but better quality and add to them when you can afford it.

I have been out of the trade for a while now but I used to use mainly Victorinox, Sabatier and Emile Gustav.
