Has the TSA stolen from you?

I was traveling out of San Antonio after visiting my grandparents. My grandfather gave me a Leatherman that he never used. When I reached my destination, the side pocket where the Leatherman was stored was open and the zipper was arrested. I know it seems silly to bother over $ 50 Leatherman, but my grandfather gave me and I tend to put a sentimental value on items that are given to me by the family. To make matters more do not make this Leatherman, was the first produced original style. Really could not have avoided that, you can not take KNIVES on board aircraft and shipping would have cost money. Honestly any terrorist could have a toothbrush and something to sharpen with, go to the bathroom, make a knife and hijack a plane, so I do not see why I can not take a leaf two inches. Has anyone else had anything stolen by "always drink"

I have well over a million miles in my frequent flyer account, but never had anything go missing from checked baggage. However, the loss or theft of luggage does sometimes occur and they need to pack anything in checked luggage luggage is valuable or that would have particular attachment. Unfortunately, in this case had no choice but to check. It was not necessarily stolen by the TSA however. Luggage Drivers also have access and sometimes bags can only be damaged by rough handling and things can fall out. Sorry for your loss – not dumb at all those who are upset that it was something of his grandfather.
