I work at a bike shop and am constantly opening a bike box with scissors, but needs more effectively. i recommend cutting folding box (Utility) knife simply because replacement blades are cheap to obtain a ruling is not stainless oh yeah and stay away from gerber KNIVES you have to grind a new advantage over them
