Can you take a double-folded in New York?

Both the leaves are 3 inches long. "I can carry it around if I live in New York and if I leave it exposed?

I would think that unless you were in a protected area (Palace of Justice or the airport or Thew) there would be no problem. It seems that a pocketknife unpleasant appearance. I do not advertise but I do not hide or if asked.
