Shouldnt i have died from being electricuted?

Im just wondering this because when i was 9 years old i stuck a full metal pocket knife into an electrical outlet outside. I kept my hand on it while it was inside of the outlet. I just remember while i had my hand on it that there was a very fuzzy feeling going through my body. after that the outlet just blew out. Im just wondering why i wasnt electricuted, it didnt hurt or anything. Oh and yeah i was stupid as a little kid.
Yeah i was stupid, DUH i was 9 years old. that was a pretty long time ago. Yeah it was outside and i doubt it wasnt enough voltage for alot of reasons.
