Zero tolerance laws are stupid?

The children were suspended from school for drawing a gun on paper, or go "bang bang". Children were charged with felonies for having a pocketknife scouts in their cars? However, nothing is done all the violence on TV or in the lyrics of rap. Is this madness? Common sense goes down the drain?

You have a point light, and I blame the media for 99% of the behavior of children now adays …. They rate movies "PG" now that they have had to sneak in to see when I was 15.
