Is it acceptible to wear and use a piece of equiptment with a military branch insignia on it…?

…if you were not in that branch of service? I was in the army for a short period.
I need a good knife and i want a USMC Ka-Bar knife, bad. I need a sheath knife because of the line of work I’m in. I’m a civilian.In my work i need to be able to grab a knife and cut rope and such quickly, and my beloved swiss army knife takes too long to retrieve etc. Ka-Bar offers that knife with US Army insignia on it, but come on! I’ve always wanted a Ka-Bar. So…
Its a USMC knife. Is there a problem with me buying and wearing this knife with the USMC globe and anchor logo, or will someone cause me trouble if they see it on my belt?

Your fine. Its no different than having a cd case holder with the US Air Force logo on it. Since the Army did have them too, I’d look for one with the Army logo on it so it’d have more personal meaning.

I say go for it. As always don’t make up stories how you were in the Corp and yeah, you get the rest.
